What is a "hubby", for God's sake?

it's sort of like a slang pet name for husband. you might hear a married woman say something like "my hubby and i are going furniture shopping this weekend." or "my hubby's been having a rough week so we're taking it easy this weekend." it's sort of supposed to sound silly but not stupid. if the person is still using the word "hubby" it means he or she is still in a good relationship. you won't hear the word "hubby" coming from someone in a bad marriage or nearing divorce.
