When am I expected to stop wearing trendy footwear?

I bought a pair of red and white converse sneakers today and they look really good with my favourie "boyfriend" jeans (I have about five pairs). My fave boots are patent black square toe wedges and also a pair of biker style brown boots wth loads of buckles. I am female and 50 this year.
