On my A/C unit I have 3 fan speeds - high, low and auto.?
AUTO will cycle the indoor fan off when the compressor cycles off, so instead of constantly circulating the air even during the off cycle it will cycle on and off when you are cooling, you will save some energy by turning your indoor fan off during off cycles.
