I am a nurse in a labor and delivery unit . Almost all of us ( the nurses) have mirena. I just had mine placed last month, and yes it was very painful. But, once placed, outside of a little cramping, it is fine. I even went right back to work. There is a small chance it can poke a holes in your uterus, but the benefits far outweigh the risks for us. The most common side effect is little to no period while it is there. And once you decide to have another baby, you just have it removed. All in all ... I highly recommend it.

If you are playing a long stall, this deck is fine, but if you are going with the manticore loop, get more cards supporting the loop. Cat manners?

Willie, my 10 month old kitten keeps stealing the other cat's food. He goes as far as to rip it right from their mouths! I have 5 cats and the others are older and bigger than him. Should I intervene and put him up till the others eat or just let one of them eventually get tired of it and teach him a lesson? They all get plenty to eat and Willie will leave his food to run over and snatch somebody elses. Poor little Allie had a shrimp in her mouth and Willie just grabbed it out of her mouth!

How do I get my pup to stop destroying things?!?

I have an 8-month old lab/shepherd/border collie mix. She spends the day outside with my older lab while we're at work. She has bones and toys galore, and my two dogs play a lot with each other. When we get home we play frisbee with her or take her for a long walk in the evening. My problem is, she destroys everything- even when we think we've puppy-proofed the back yard she finds something new. She has even recently started gnawing on her food bowls (never ever did that before). She has chewed through the satellite cable THREE times, even after we've concealed it she still finds it. She digs holes. She dug up our drip-irrigation lines and chewed them up. She chewed up her frisbees (twice) and ingested parts of them. She also gnaws on my other dog's legs constantly. I would have thought her teething was finished. With all of the toys she has I can't understand why she has to find everything else ( things!) to chew. She's well behaved in the house so I have never been able to catch her in the act. What is the deal with her? Will obedience training work when we're not around, because that is when she's . Yes :) just relax, it was probably too early to detect anything. The tech was probably more mad at whoever ordered the early scan more than anything, she probably just knew that she wouldn't see anything and was wasting time... Even though that's not your fault and she should have treated you better! I went to the ER at 5w1d (due to heavy bleeding) and they did a tummy and transl scan. The scan (which I also never got to see) did not show much but they did see a tiny sac in there, but couldn't get heartbeat yet. Right now your baby is developing SO rapidly that even just a few days makes a HUGE difference in what they can see. I went in again a week later and they could see a sac, a tiny baby inside, a strong heartbeat, and even a second sac they had not seen the first time around! So don't stress...your little bubba is in there growing up a storm, safe and sound :)

When my grandson finished boot camp and was flying home with us, I cannot tell you the number of people, mostly older, that came up to him and shook his hand and thanked him for serving. One man offered him his first cl seat. Another man shared his days in boot camp (he was about 70). What struck me was the respect these people showed a 19 yr. old boy. I think there is something shared by soldiers that the rest of us cannot completely understand. What a wonderful experience to see this pride and respect for our military.

Flooding carb while running?

I have a 1985 Ford Bronco II with a Motorcraft 2bbl carburetor on it. We just rebuilt it and it starts fine but when it idles for about 5 to 10 seconds, fuel starts to pour out of the vent holes on top and flows through what looks like a vacuum line in the front of the carburetor. Why are my ankles swollen?

My feet, ankles, and calves are very swollen. The Dr. put me on Lasix today. My blood pressure has gone up for some reason. I feel like an ice cube. I went to the Dr. last week and he put me on thyroid medicine due to some blood tests that I had done the week before. I went back to see him today. My skin is dry, yet the Dr. said I am over hydrated. What do I do when I get thirsty if I am over hydrated? I also have very low energy and I can not focus on my school work, so the Dr. wrote a script for Adipex 37.5 to be taken once a day in the morning. Today after I took the first dose of Adipex I can tell you that I was able to focus much better. I am a 44 old male, 6'0 tall, 223lbs. with clothes on but last week I was 217lbs. I am sure the extra water has caused the gain in lbs. This is our second week back at school. Could the couch potato effect have caused the sudden changes in my body ? (three and a half weeks off from school.) Pardon me, but I have to go pee once again.

Tonight at 11 p.m. CST, in Nebraska, my husband and I were outside our home looking up at the stars while he had a smoke, and we were surprised to see a very fast moving plane (or so we thought it was a plane). My husband commented how odd it was that it was moving so fast at such a low altitude. Suddenly as it approached a bright star (or possibly planet such as Venus or Mars as we aren't astrologically knowledgeable as to what star or planet it might be), the plane seemed to have put its landing lights on. The whiteness turned blue and red as it approached the star, then much to our shock and bewilderment, it disappeared into the star. NO KIDDING!! It is a very crystal clear night, NO CLOUDS at all, and we watched the star for almost 20 minutes, and the plane did NOT reappear anywhere else in the sky. NOTHING reappeared in the sky. We are somewhat baffled and wondering what in the world did we see??? Yes, a UFO, cause it is can be said it was an unidentifiable flying object to us. But as ANYONE ELSE ever witnessed such a thing? What do you think it was that we saw, or that YOU saw if you have had such an experience?

About 8 months ago I had acne so I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed me claravis and they told me the only side effects are dryness and bloody nose.I took it for 6 months and I have not grown in 2 months since taking it. I was 15 and 6 ft 4.5 when I started and now I am barely 6 ft 5 and haven't grown since taking it. I know this is considered tall but I have a dream to play basketball as a center in college and not only that but my father is 6 ft 10 and my mother is 5 ft 11 and my father's brother is 7 ft 3. The book was OK in the beginning, but it just dragged on in the middle and fell apart at the end. The author could have done this, she could have done that... but she didn't. Instead, we just listened to a girl whine about how she couldn't be with the boy of her dreams. If I was her, I would have been obsessed with getting back at Mr. Harvey. She had the chance to ease the pain of her family when she came down from heaven and went into Ruth's body. Her family needed closure; they needed to know where her body was so that they could finally lay her at peace. She could have told them what happened, where Mr. Harvey was and if anything, she probably would have helped her father who needed to know where his little girl was the most. She could have haunted or appeared on the cornfield and showed people where she was killed. But NO. She just went down to have . If anything, I do not think that a victim will be willing to have with anyone for a while.

How do I get my 1 year old to give up the pacifier?

Let me give you a little history first. My daughter slept with my husband and I until about a month ago, when at 11 months she finally started sleeping in her crib in her own room all night long. The only problem, which is a big problem, is that I have to get up 4-7 times a night to put her pacifier back in her mouth. She doesn't really wake up, she just will cry until she gets her paci back, and then she falls back to sleep. I have to have a least 4 pacifiers on reserve at night because they fall out of her crib when she drops them. I am exhausted from getting up that much at night, and from the interrupted sleep. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can break my daughter of needing her paci to fall back to sleep at night? She only used the pacifier during naps and at night, very rarely throughout the day, does she use it. Thanks.
